Tested safety
The modular pressure discharge system of Horstmann und Schwarz for medium-voltage switchgear has been tested and certified by IPH Berlin. The HS TSR-Duct provides triple safety in the event of an arc fault. The innovative pressure discharge system can be used in new stations and control rooms as well as the optimal solution for your retrofit project.

Triple protection for people, equipment and buildings
In the event of an arc fault occurring, the HS TSR-Duct safely conducts the resulting fire as well as hot and toxic gases out of the switchgear room into the open.
Your equipment not directly affected by the arc fault is protected and can continue to operate.
With the HS TSR-Duct, you minimize room pressures occurring in the event of an arc fault and avoid contamination in stations and switchgear rooms of all kinds.
For safe discharge of the pressures and toxic gases occurring in the event of an arc fault from the control room, modular design and expandable. As a ready-to-connect system, for installation on a closed floor, made of 3mm thick Elo galvanized sheet steel, included:
- pressure-tight cable entries
- Pipe exit system complete with all connecting elements (with roof or wall exit)
- Fastening material
Tested system in a free room volume of 28 m³ with 20kA / 1s following IEC 62271-200 and IEC 62271-202. In detail, the system consists of, for example:
1-bay base unit
- To accommodate the pipe connection element
- as a complete unit that can be extended on the right and left,
- closed on one side with closure plate
1, 2 or 3-bay base unit
- to accommodate the different field combination of the medium voltage switchgear
- as a complete unit that can be extended on the right and left,
- closed on one side with closure plate
